Safe Assembly Plan Procedures
  • On hearing the emergency siren or on receiving instructions to assemble, all campers to assemble on CAR PARK or alternate safe area, OVAL, if car park is inappropriate.
  • Group Leaders will check that all their group members are present.
  • Remain to await further instructions from Campsite Management or under direction from police, fire or emergency services.
  • Implement relevant procedure for emergency at hand. (See EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLAN located in CUPBOARD below TELEPHONE in KITCHEN).

Safe Assembly Area

  • CAR PARK Alternate area if car park inappropriate OVAL.

Evacuation Procedures

Evacuation from the site will normally be done under the direction of the police, fire brigade or Emergency services. Evacuation will be carried out from the safe assembly area (CAR PARK or OVAL). On hearing the emergency siren or on receiving instructions to assemble, all campers proceed to CAR PARK where Group leaders will check that all their group members are present. Remain to await further instructions from Campsite Management or direction from police, fire or emergency services for evacuation.

Notify Parents/Families of Measures Taken

If at all possible, emergency family contact information (USER INFORMATION REGISTER) will be evacuated from the camp so families can be contacted.

Describe Emergency Procedures to campers in Safety Briefing.

Walks

If going on walks outside the boundary of the property, Campsite Management must be notified of intended route and estimated time of return.
